Its either metallic or some kind of graphite-like material. I don't think its spiritual and I don't think that its anything in nature like a bird. I think its man-made. The interview of the photographer backed up the idea that it was man-made, but it was something that he could not identify although he lives near an Air Force base. It is probably the transport of something experimental on a bomber. But without a better picture or more information, it is probably not possible to know for certain. Too bad he didn't have time to snap off another one... the comparison would have helped.
