A thought suddenly crossed my mind, just out of nowhere....it was this...."I give my all to you, God"...
One might say, "But, I gave my all to God, when I was born again".....yes, we did.....we gave him all we had to offer at that moment....our repentance and our sins.....
Then we started out on the milk of the word, growing from a babe in Christ to an adult...a step at a time, so to say....you can't give a newborn baby adult food..
Then as we grew in the Lord, and learned more and more about the Christian walk...more of his ways....more of what he expected, and from the reading of his word, and ministers of God, how to do the things he expects of us..
He does not expect us to sit back and bask in the sunshine and happiness received from the gift he gave to us, but, to share it with others...How would we have received this gift, had we not been told...
Remember how excited you were when you first accepted Christ as your Lord and Savior, you wanted to shout it to the world...
Now, that we have matured in Christ, we should still want to tell it to the world, and help others to receive the same gift we were given....are we doing this....
Do we have the opportunity at times to tell some hungry soul about Jesus....or do we let the opportunity slip by...I will be the first to say, I have been guilty of this...and I ask God's forgiveness...
We should be giving Jesus our "ALL"...time spent in prayer to prepare to go about his business...asking his guidance in all things...and to listen carefully to his instructions....in other words, keep prayed up....reading of his word regularly to show us how to do this.....the Bible is our road map to life in him....guiding our footsteps on the path to take..
Are we giving him our all...at times, I fail miserably, but, with his help, I am going to give him my all...as he is my all in all, and that is the least I can do for what he has done for me...
