This is about 75 miles across the river from Paducah.......

A roof collapse is forcing a Southern Illinois mine to shut down for the next few weeks. The collapse just narrowly missed a group of miners. The main entrance of the Mack mine caved-in just before Midnight on Sunday.
About 175 people work at the mine located off Corinth Road in Williamson County. Inspectors say the rock supporting the roof weakened from moisture.
Mine inspectors say the location couldn't have been worse because rocks are now blocking the only entrance to the mine. If anyone would have been trapped inside the mine at the time of the collapse they should have been able to get out using two different escape shafts.
The Mack mine plant incorporates clean coal technologies and is capable of producing more than nine million tons of coal each year.
For My thoughts are not your thoughts. Neither are your ways, my ways," declares the Lord. "For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are My ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts. (Isa. 55:89).
